Bring the romance of the Mediterranean to Valentine's Day with La Mule

In the chilly depths of winter, even the thought of France's Mediterranean region is enough to bring a bloom to our cheeks and with Valentine's Day less than a month away, it's not too early to ponder the perfect tipple for a romantic evening.

Of course you can browse our selection of delicious wines that cater to all tastes, but for us, nothing says love and romance better than a glass of perfectly chilled rosé.

Its crisp, light characteristics mean there is far more to it than simply a refreshing summer wine, and if you really want to impress a potential other half, we recommend La Mule.

It is grown in an area of south-west France that benefits from the cool air of the Mediterrenean sea and yet is shielded from the local Mistral: a cold, dry wind that sweeps down through the Rhone Valley, sometimes reaching up to 56 miles per hour.

La Mule comes from the sloping ground close to the fantastic walled medieval city of Carcassonne (what could be more romantic?), and the rosé from this region is highly prized.

The skins of the purple-ish Syrah grapes are crushed lightly and it makes a crystal clear, precise rosé. It is full of flavour and character, full of minerals, full of iron, and full of vitamin D.

It is without a doubt, a great little rosé for Valentine's Day. You can order directly here with free nationwide shipping using code: FREESHIP
