Les Dangereux and Pinot Noir

Good morning. David Woodward, wine merchant of 45 years.

I've got something a little bit special for everyone this morning. Two reds at the right time of the year for nice, beefy reds. The wine from South Africa from Stellenbosch is Les Dangereux.

Les Dangereux is the classic Bordeaux blend. This Cabinet Sauvignon and Merlot, with a little Cabernet Franc and a little Petit Verdot. It's a roast beef wine. Full, rounded, smooth 2019 vintage just coming up now to where it's going to be nicely available to drink. Beautiful colour. Beautiful meniscus, Highly recommended.

The other one is over the other side is a Burgundy or Pinot Noir. So you've got Cabernet on one side, Merlot and then Pinot Noir on the Burgundy side, which is where the great wines of Chambertin and things like that come from.

Carcassonne, many of you have had Les Salices Sauvignon Blanc, which is a classic little Sauvignon. Here's Mr. Lurton's Pinot Noir. It's a soft, round, smooth, beautifully balanced Pinot Noir. Again very, very easy to drink and just right at the moment.
